Why a different subscription won't help

Fable 5 is back, but it's part of paid Claude plans — so no free tier and no 'bypass' site gives you the real model, and there's still no separate free Fable 5. Treat any page claiming subscription-free Fable 5 access as unverified. If you want a top model with no subscription, run open-weight GLM-5.2.

Where Fable 5 stands

Fable 5 returned worldwide on July 1 after the US lifted export controls. Max and Team Premium keep it in-plan; Pro and Team Standard moved to metered usage credits on July 20 (one-time $100 credit) — which still requires a paid Anthropic relationship.
