View allWhat you get
- Two shape atlases with 16 numbered silhouette cells, from circle and cloud to clover and four-point star, plus any new shape that follows the same rules.
- Eight soft-vinyl example characters of different ages that teach the toy material and proportions, never a default identity.
- Request-first personalization: what you say beats memory and defaults, and memory is used only for an avatar that shows you.
Good fit
- Profile pictures for people who want a bold shape mascot or a cute collectible toy figure.
- Turning an approved Original into an Anime character that keeps its main color, eye layout and shape motifs.
- Avatar sets for a team or cast that vary age, hair, outfits and small accessories.
Not for
- Photoreal portraits, or realistic human anatomy as the standard look.
- Animated or rigged characters, or editable vector logos.
- Inferring a person's age or gender from their name, photo, job or a stereotype.
About this Skill

Ask for an avatar without naming a look and you get an Original: one bright, softened silhouette with exactly two solid eyes, taken from 16 numbered cells across two shape atlases or drawn fresh to your description. Ask for a person or character and you get Anime: a matte soft-vinyl collectible with a big rounded head, natural skin, hair in chunky molded masses and a pair of near-black capsule eyes, with no nose or mouth. Details you state win field by field; for your own avatar, reliable memory fills only the gaps, and one short question covers anything still unknown. Codex's built-in image tool makes each picture.
How it works
- Choose Original for a shape mascot or Anime for a person or character; with no mode named, an Original is made and no questionnaire comes first.
- For an Anime avatar, details are settled in order: the current request, then trustworthy memory when the avatar is you, then one short question for what remains.
- Attach only references that help: the atlas that holds the picked cell, or the primary soft-vinyl figure plus one matching example, five files at most.
- Every requested avatar is a separate image_gen call in Codex, a square PNG asked for at 1024×1024.
- Confirm the mode, that both eyes fit a circular crop and that every stated detail survived; report what was delivered, and after an Original offer a matching Anime version once.
Checked before delivery
- The chosen mode and every explicit character detail survive; memory fills only fields the request left open
- Two readable solid eyes, an empty nose and mouth area, both eyes inside a circular crop, no stray text or watermark
- Original: one recognizable softened silhouette; Anime: matte soft-vinyl material, chunky molded hair, natural skin and toy proportions
- A converted Anime avatar keeps the Original's main color, eye layout and shape motifs

FAQ
What happens if I just say make me an avatar?
You get one Original shape mascot, chosen from the 16 cells in the two atlases unless you describe another shape. Original mode never needs your age or gender. After it is shown, the agent may ask once whether you want a matching Anime version in the same color and shape language, and makes it only if you say yes.
How is an Anime character decided?
It begins from the approved soft-vinyl toy finish: an oversized head, a small body or collar, plain capsule eyes, matte surfaces and an optional small futuristic accessory. Anything you state wins over defaults and memory, field by field. For an avatar of you, trustworthy memory may fill in an age, gender or preferred look you left out; if it cannot, the agent asks one short question instead of guessing. Made-up characters and other people follow their own brief, never your details.
Is a separate image account or API key needed?
No. Everything runs through Codex and its built-in image tool, with the right bundled references attached to each call, and each avatar arrives as its own file. Your Codex account sets availability and limits; no FAL key, other provider or local generation script is involved, and if the tool is unavailable the agent says so instead of claiming an image.
