Lower Manhattan, drawn year by year
Author’s claim: Claude Fable 5.5 · model not released · not verified by us
About the post
An architectural-style drawing of Lower Manhattan that adds each current building in its year of construction, at true scale. The author says one prompt made it, and the live version lets you tap towers.

Our note
An axonometric map of Lower Manhattan where today's 1,614 buildings appear in the year each went up, from 1790 to 2025, with new ones in orange. A counter and a "tallest so far" line track the skyline: St. Paul's Chapel at 199 ft, then Trinity Church, the Park Row Building, 70 Pine Street, and One World Trade Center at 1,408 ft. A bar chart shows buildings added per five years. In the second half a building card for 40 Wall Street (1930, 807 ft, 63 floors) has a "Go back to 1930" button that rewinds the map. We have not checked the building data.
