A 3D walkthrough of the new proof about pi
Author’s claim: Claude Fable 5.5 · model not released · not verified by us
About the post
A narrated 3D animation of just over two minutes explaining a new 23-page proof that pi's irrationality exponent is exactly 2. The author says a single request to explain the paper produced it.

Our note
Framed as "OpenAI Math Release · No. 5", this explainer keeps a "Claimed · not yet independently verified" badge in the corner throughout. It opens on "How close can fractions get to π?", sets 22/7 against 355/113, then stacks earlier bounds as 3D bars, from Mahler's 42 in 1953 down to 7.10 by 2020. Later sections quote the model's released reasoning, wind multiples of 2πi into a spiral ladder, and squeeze the determinant of a large grid. It ends on μ(π) = 2, a Lean file and a caption saying mathematicians have not yet confirmed it. No prompt was shared, and the video's model is the author's claim.
