About the post

A 38-second piece showing Spider-Man drawn in the styles of ten different comic book eras, one after another.

Our summary. The author’s own words are in the post above; we do not copy them.

Our note

Ten numbered plates, each a year and a comic or screen style, run from "1963" to "2023" under the line "ten eras · ten villains · one web-slinger". The looks include Silver Age newsprint, a Saturday-morning cartoon, a Bronze Age bridge at dusk, a painted-cover graveyard, spaghetti-web ink hatching, a 16-bit console fight, a low-poly "Polygon Era" street, grey-wash noir and two Spider-Verse styles. Caption boxes add trivia such as "Shipped on a red cartridge." The end grid shows every opponent wrapped in webbing with a calling card. A footer says each plate is drawn live in JavaScript; that is the author's account, and no prompt was shared.
