About the post

A 15-second dash across 40,000 years of art, with a cat subplot running alongside. The author says they simply asked for some art history.

Our summary. The author’s own words are in the post above; we do not copy them.

Our note

A person at a small table with a drink, a cat close by, is repainted in quick succession. Corner labels name each style: "40,000 BC" cave painting above a scrawled "Art History Speedrun", an Egyptian wall painting, "530 BC" Attic black-figure with Greek lettering, a Gothic illumination whose Latin text says the cat watches him, "1503" High Renaissance, a Ukiyo-e woodblock print with a great wave, "1889" Post-Impressionism, "1912" Cubism and "1993" ray-traced CGI. In the "2026" flat vector frame the cat paws at the cup, which ends up broken on the floor, while a corner signature beginning "Fable 5." is still being written. No prompt was shared.
