About the post

A short sequence of scenes showing representative creatures from the Cambrian through the Quaternary period. The author says the full film runs four minutes; this clip is 16 seconds.

Our summary. The author’s own words are in the post above; we do not copy them.

Our note

This clip covers one chapter of a longer piece, marked "03 / 13": the Ordovician, labelled in English and Chinese (奥陶纪) with "485 – 444 million years ago" and "Crowded seas, ended by ice". A counter ticks from 468 down to 447 million years as a long, striped, shelled cephalopod jets over a pebbled seabed among violet fronds and seizes a flat dark creature. The light then turns grey, snow falls and a caption says ice builds over the pole. A timeline bar runs from Ediacaran to Quaternary, inside a Claude.ai artifact preview titled "From ediacaran to humanity". The author has not published a prompt.
