About the post

A real-time simulation of the three-body problem written in Bend2. The author says it is about 1,000 lines, runs at 60 fps on an M5 Mac, and has four program properties formally proven.

Our summary. The author’s own words are in the post above; we do not copy them.

Our note

A dark window titled "3 Corpos" tours ten numbered three-body setups labelled in Portuguese, from "1/10 Figura-8", credited to Moore and Chenciner-Montgomery, through "Borboleta I", "Yin-Yang I", "Novelo", a Lagrange triangle going "da ordem ao caos" (from order to chaos) and Burrau's 3-4-5 problem, to "10/10 Caos: tres massas ao acaso", three random masses. Pink, blue and gold bodies leave coloured trails over faint contour rings. The title bar shows "60 FPS", a time value, a speed multiplier and an energy-drift figure, mostly 0 to 7 ppm, though one chaos frame reads 8049 ppm. Bend2, the line count and the proofs are the author's claims; no prompt was shared.
